Moving mySQL databases

October 30th, 2008

It is easy to export a mySQL database from CPanel to Plesk hosting, but it is not so easy to import a mySQL database from Plesk to Cpanel. For Plesk hosting, the remote database has a different IP address, while for Cpanel , localhost is used. To import the files properly, first export each table of the original database as a CSV file and then import each table again using phpmyAdmin.
